Drink's on Me!

It's National Watermelon Day and what better way to celebrate by making cocktails!

My girls and I love making pretty drinks on a hot summer day while the kiddos play. I'm sharing with you three ways to create this oh so refreshing watermelon cocktail and non alcoholic beverage for National Watermelon Day.

Alcoholic Beverage: Adult style

Ingredients :

Mom Fresh Watermelon Cocktail:

2 oz. Fresh Watermelon Juice

1 oz. Vodka

2 oz. Fresh Lemonade

½ oz. Malibu Coconut Rum

½ oz. Triple Sec

or try it as a Mojito!

Watermelon Mojito:

20 mint leaves, chopped 2 tablespoons superfine sugar ½ cup freshly squeezed lime juice ¾ cup light rum 6 ounces seedless watermelon, pureed

At the bottom of a large shaker, place the mint, sugar and ¼ cup of the lime juice. Fill the shaker with ice. Add the rum, watermelon puree and the remaining ¼ cup of lime juice; shake well. Strain it into old-fashioned glasses over ice and serve it to all of your of fabulous friends.

You're sure to be hit with this!

Not worry we have options! Trying to Stay Healthy? Try it with Aloe! Check it out below.

Ingredients:

4 cups fresh watermelon juice to blender

2 cups cold, filtered water

10-12 one-inch aloe gel cubes.

Blend on high until aloe gel is completely liquefied. Serve over ice immediately or store in refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

I love Aloe Vera juice, it is said to help maintain healthy digestion, and can also help regulate blood sugar, reduce inflammation, reduce acne eruptions, as well as many other health benefits, and with my Acid reflux this drink is acid friendly.

Enjoy!
