Battle of the Beauty Boxes

I wanted to reward myself monthly for being the Great mom and spouse that I am... (I’m pretty dope guys) “lol”. So, what was a great way to do so and be affordable at the same time? There are so many great subscriptions out today, Birchbox, Sephora Play, Ipsy and many more.

For $10.00 a month, to get a box of customized goodies delivered right to my doorstep sounded like a great idea. After my subscription with Birchbox, other subscription services started coming out and I signed up for Ipsy and then later for Sephora Play!

So, lets discuss each box.

Birchbox was a lot of fun the first few months but I started to notice trends like getting more makeup remover and not much lip gloss or makeup anymore. Once a year they do 2 limited edition boxes that have the “best of beauty” products for a reasonable price that I always snag. And Bichbox products tend to be either department store brands or independent brands that you can only buy from them or from the brand’s website.

Ipsy never fails me. I absolutely love this subscription. You always get at least 2 full size items and they’re always filled with products along with an ipsy makeup bag (my favorite). You will never get an Ipsy bag that is just filled with skincare products like you would with Birchbox. I don’t consider myself a makeup addict or anything close to it. I wear mascara and Lip gloss only. But I love the samples I get to explore with. But, if you want more expensive, higher end products, you may want to choose one of the other two boxes.

Sephora play is my most recent subscription service and it is quickly climbing to the top as a favorite. You always get 6 products in the box, a lot of them are full size, and the companies they feature are out of this world. I mean seriously ladies, no other box sends you make up from Benefit, Make Up Forever, Kat Von D, Tarte, etc. every single month. I do think there is a wait list to get the Sephora Play Box, but I must say it’s worth the wait!

I hope this help you wonderful ladies thinking of signing up with one of the three boxes! If you love makeup and brands go with Sephora Play. If you love a variety of items Ipsy would be my first choice and Birch is on their way out the door if they don't get it together!

With love,

Ms.Tina
